Millennium Call Processing System
(MCPS) VoIP PBX
Dallas Delta Corporation has been providing many solutions to companies to utilise VoIP. We have been involved in designing a few solutions including some for dual occupancy buildings requiring a fibre optic communications system at the front gate, car park solutions utilising wireless LAN, motorway / tollway / freeway solutions to support multiple simultaneous calls and to interface to different systems including MODBUS, as well as running a VoIP system internally that connects our offices in Australia to our partners in Germany and around the world. Some of the features of the Millennium Call Processing System include (subject to your specific requirements):
- A customised operator GUI showing the status of every extension on your system via your web browser.
- Operation of several different sites as one large site, including the ability to link all smaller systems together as one large system with one extension numbering plan.
- Output of data via serial feed in numerous different standards; great for use in solutions which require video cameras to be turned to a particular location.
- Integration of operator handsets which provide lost of information about the status of the system as well as incoming calls.
- Variety of interface options to the public communications networks including BRI, PRI, PSTN, GSM and proprietary signally standards.
Our Millennium Call Processing System is designed around open source software and uses the CentOS operating system when standard server hardware is used. Obviously quite a bit of work needs to be done to customise the open source software and operating systems especially when there is additional hardware to support a “fail safe” system. We have recently been working on developing a solid state solution to provide even more reliable solutions with flexibility even on smaller installations (mainly up to 50 extensions). (“Solid state” refers to equipment that has no moving parts. Moving parts are the most likely items to require maintenance and service and can be the parts which most seriously impact on the operation of your system, for example hard disk drives.)
